Veteran BL players, and new players alike, are thoroughly enjoying Wonderlands in all its glory. A lot of the credit goes to the Story, Mechanics, Humour, and most of all, The Uniques and Legendaries in the game. Corrupted Platemail is giving you next to no benefit, since the Ruby's Spite is already locked to Dark Magic. Corrupted Platemail works like Amara's Infusion in BL3. It reduces your base damage by 30% and creates an instance of dark magic bonus elemental damage. Bonus elemental damage is a separate calculation that benefits from your damage modifiers individually from the source of damage that procs it. It's not based on damage dealt. You can also use a dark buffmeister or Corrupted Platemail classmod to add some dark damage to your melee attacks. I'm typically using the static charge shield for it's capacity. Then the brr-zerker Unarmored Defense converts 50% of my ward into 150% health and dark buffmeister or Corrupted Platemail classmod mentioned earlier to keep my health up.Go to Wonderlands r/Wonderlands ... If running corrupted platemail, you'll want a mix of spell/ability rings, if warped paradigm, purely ability rings. As for melee weapon, you can either run the frying pan legendary for added tankiness, or the mage staff legendary which does a ranged sunder effect on melee attack that can hit 3 enemies, and reduces spell cooldowns by 5% per enemy hit.

There are around 100 unique items in the Base Game - World Drop pool, so for farming a specific Armor it's best to seek out its dedicated Loot Source. Then if you had 100% frost damage, that would buff the 70% to 140%, to make a total 200% damage.
