I just retired my last outdoor pair a few days ago which were the Puma Uproars. I play on a pretty smooth asphalt court and those lasted me about 2-3ish months before starting to bald. Yes on it being an Adidas thing. It's a good bet they'll run slightly larger than Nikes. Adidas sizes are adjusted to regular intervals for three different length systems (mm, US & EU). I had the normal J37 two months ago but the carbon fiber had cracked. Thankfully, it was replaced with j37 low. IMO, I feel more secure with J37 low since it has meshes on top and not full lenoweave. I was really looking forward to these, especially at $83 on sale, however they have to be the most uncomfortable sneakers I've ever worn. The shoe would make a popping noise when I walked. The toe box was just too tight on the bone right above the pinky toe. I agree that they are very unique and seem to be more focused on the forefoot than the heel, I'm assuming it's due to Tatum's playing style. I'll definitely check on the fitment before purchasing them. For a retail price of $120, it's one of the cheaper signature models so my expectations are pretty much kept in check.Best choice for you’d say is the Dame 7. Altho none of the Adidas shoes really fit your play style well. I’d say look for the Anta KT6 if possible. Bought the Melo 1s and the Lebron 20s but found them to be heavy. Traction is so grippy. Too grippy sometimes especially when new. Cushioning is not too bad. Yeah, however, they mostly sell lower teir shoes and the prices usually arent great. I own both the Lukas and the Lebron 20s. The Lukas have amazing court feel and the traction is top tier, however they have absolutely no cushion or impact protection. I rolled my ankle on the 36s twice in 1 training session - which could have been much worse than it was. The 36s also ripped up my pinkys due to them being so narrow in the forefoot (this was after upsizing half a size and then a whole size with the same issue). Didn’t like the vol.4. Love the vol.7. 🤷🏻♂️. Had the 14s and have the harden 7. Both has great cushion but the forefoot on harden 7s is minimal at best. The Lukas have amazing court feel and the traction is top tier, however they have absolutely no cushion or impact protection. At least that how it was for me.. I’m a bigger guy myself at 6”1 and 255 pounds. .
